Mishibox (July) Korean Beauty Subscription Box!

This is my very first subscription box, and I've been wanting to try one out for awhile because I like the concept of having something curated for you, but the contents are a surprise, and that's kind of thrilling. I decided to go with a Korean Beauty themed subscription box because I've really been interested in Korean Beauty lately and I'm always excited to try out new products.

Mishibox was the best one I could find in terms of price, shipping, and the types of products you get. Mishibox is based in the United States, and it's $19.95 USD ($26.36 CDN) and shipping to Canada is $5.95USD ($7.85CDN) so the I spent $35.21 in total. In terms of shipping, Mishibox has the best shipping rate for international purchases, as many subscription boxes don't a) ship to your country or b) shiping rates are higher.

Moving onto the actual box, the packaging is cute and I know it's just a pink box with their logo on it, but I've received packages (ahem, yessstyle) where they wrap your contents in a grey plastic bag and ship it to you. Inside comes this card, explaining some contents and how you can be involved with them through social media.
Next is a card that features the products and a description of what it is/how to use. This month, the products were all "full sized." And I put that in quotations because I feel like they kind of HAVE to be full sized products. You can't really get a sample size face mask, and if they gave me a sample sized hand lotion I'd be pretty mad.

Overall, the products are good, they're full sized, and I'm happy with the products I received. However, I was kind of hoping for some brands that I haven't heard of, or products that I can't easily purchase on my own. This box featured two products from Tonymoly which is a brand that has really made a mark here in America. That being said, I know there are all these rules and regulations on foreign imports, so maybe some of the unknown Korean brands don't have licensing rights to sell in America.

I also kind of wished they included products that I could use more than once, like the face mask and the lip mask are one use so, I'm not really getting to try out a lot of products multiple times, but I know face masks are the big thing in Korea, and Korean face masks are really in trend in North America right now.

Now, onto the individual products/reviews.

First of all, how cute. It's shaped like a mango. And it's very compact so you can carry this around with you in your purse, and you won't have to whip out your giant tub of Victoria's Secret pure seduction.
This smells really good and it's like a mango candy, and despite the appearance of the container, it squeezes out really well, and because of the tube shaped applicator, you're getting just the right amount of lotion.

Oh yes, this is the scent of tea tree. I liked that I got the tea tree mask because tea tree is supposed to be good for people with acne prone skin (which unfortunately is me. Never had acne growing up, but now it's slowly trying to come back). This mask is very, very concentrated with the serum, so I suggest applying this mask over a sink because it is drippy! My skin did feel a little softer and hydrated after applying this mask, but can't say it reduced the appearance of acne.
The package does say however, that for best results this should be used 2-3 times a week for 4 weeks. However, I only got sent one of these, so I can't see the full results, but judging by the intense smell of tea tree, I'm sure this will yield good results.

This is the Tosowoong "soft touch suns cream" and in terms of functionality, it's great because it has spf 32 and the PA++ which is the ranking system in Japan and Korea to tell you how much protection you're getting from UVA rays (rays that are not as intense as UVB rays but can penetrate through clouds and glass!) This sunscreen is 2 plus signs after the PA which is mid level protection. The lowest is PA+ and the highest is PA+++. This sunscreen also protects from UVB rays which are often called burning rays. (gives you sunburn)

This sunscreen doesn't have that classic sunscreen smell which is weird, it kind of smells like a weird old lady, but the scent isn't that strong so you don't really notice it. It does make you look a little shiny as all sunscreens do, but I like how blend-able this is, and doesn't leave those white streaks.

This looks pretty ridiculous on (therefor I won't share pictures) but this was effective. It hydrated my lips, and it smelled great (like strawberries!) for the first 5-7 minutes I had this on, it kept slipping off, so I had to readjust, but after awhile, I guess the air made it more dry, and it stayed on my lips pretty well after that.

These are the most confusing things ever. I didn't even know they were a product I thought these were packing peanuts. But these are little balls that are for your blackheads. You're supposed to soak this ball for 2-3 minutes in lukewarm water and then massage this ball in desired area, and then rinse off all the waste that comes out. It's so weird to think, this ball, that you literally see in packages for fragile items, can get rid of toxins in your skin.
???? I'm confused as to what this did???? If I were to review this in a positive light I guess I'd say, this may have softened my pores making it easier to squeeze out the blackheads, but I don't really think that was the case. These are literally just packing peanuts.
