NYX Butter gloss review

So I work now, and that means that I can make purchases I don't need in my life, like this one! I was on the Urban Outfitters website (which btw they're snakes because they used to ship to Canada for free if you spent more than $50, now it's $10 flat shipping rate for any amount. Plus they try to make it sound cheaper by saying $9.99)
Any ways, so I added this to my bag and it's an "online exclusive" which cost $14 for a set of 3 butter glosses. Originally I was going to buy another one of these kits which was $12 but I decided these colours might look better on me.

This kit comes with these nude-y colours in (left to right) "Tres Leches," "Sorbet," and "Chocolate Crepe." Tres Leches is a legit nude on my skin tone. Sorbet is this very cool tone pink and Chocolate Crepe is a browner nude.
My two favourite colours are the Tres Leches and Chocolate Crepe. Sorbet just looked heinous on me. I can't work cool tone pinks.

So this is Sorbet, and first of all, the colour is just all wrong on my skin tone. Plus this one is difficult to apply, I'm not sure if it's the formulation or the colour, but you can see the brush strokes on your lips when applied. So you have to blend it out with your finger. Plus this one feels stickier than the rest of the colours.

This one is Tres Leches which is an all around good nude colour. I like the application of this and is a good colour if you're wearing darker eye makeup. I love the look of this gloss on camera too because there's still that shine but no loss in pigmentation.

This one is Chocolate Crepe which is a browner nude and I also love this colour if you want to go a bit stronger but still come off looking natural. You don't need to use a lip liner for any of these colours, but since this colour in particular is darker it can get a bit messy when applying.

Overall, I like the wands that come with this gloss, it makes application very easy. And I've always bought matte lipsticks. But I like how this one give off a bit of shine but still gives you that full colour. They don't feel sticky and they're a good price for what you get.
