Come join me on my 2nd adventure (as you can tell from the time between the 1st adventure, and the 2nd one, I don't go out to interesting places a lot... #oakville)
I was back at it again with the 6ix, and on Tuesdays, the ROM has free admissions for students with an I.D, so we spent some times at the ROM. But, the ROM literally changes its exhibitions every 60 light years, so nothing changed from my last visit and was kind of boring. But they got new geo filters on snapchat and the dinosaur bones are always fun. Also I'm loving that science aesthetic with the various things in the jars.
Next stop was the Distillery district (20 min walk from Union station) which never fails to be enjoyable, because the little cobble stones roads are adorable, fairy lights everywhere, art sculptures, and delicious food. We went to Mill st. where they brew their own beer! (left picture) and I had a delicious burger which had fried pickles in it!
Night time at the Distillery district was lit (like literally, how gorgeous are all those lights?) and it's amazing.
We also hit up 70 cacao also in the Distillery district and literally the best night of my life. The highlight of this chocolate cafe (yes, chocolate cafe!) is the list of various hot chocolates they have, which YOU HAVE TO GET WHEN YOU COME HERE. You choose the type of chocolate, and they melt it down for you, then you pour the liquid hot chocolate into this fancy brandy glass that's coated in chocolate (I have the video up on my insta here). I got the 64 Puerto Rico which is a semi-sweet hot chocolate. You can choose to get a dark hot chocolate or milk hot chocolate, or anything in between. I also got the chocolate pizza, which was a fun experience (not sure if it was anything special, and would probably get something else next time). The menu is endless with waffles, fondues, strawberry shortcakes, crepes, and even brunch and grilled cheese!
Thanks for hanging out with me on this adventure and see you......in the near future with more!
