Moving in

Overalls give me two impressions: a girl who lives on a farm and has hay in her hair, and is wearing some muddy shoes and hangs out with her orange barn cat. Or the 2nd one being the kind of girl next door who has just moved into her house and is carrying cardboard boxes up to her new house.

I went for the 2nd impression, just to keep things more modern. And actually, this is the outfit I wore when moving into residence for college so in a way the impression is kind of right.

I decided to go for a black t-shirt underneath my overalls just because these overalls are light wash and they pop up against black better. Next time I would go for a longer top instead of a crop top, just in case the waist line gets too low, if you're catching my drift.

The great thing about overalls is that they're just one piece, so there's no excessive planning and matching that has to go on. But on the other hand, because it is one article of clothing, going to the bathroom is a lot harder. I think overalls are just one of those items that everyone looks good in. You just have to find your style. I personally love the dungarees (the full pantsuit overall), but because I'm short most of the legs are too long and I can't wear it. So I like to buy the shorts overalls which are super cute as well.

Also, finding overalls can be hard sometimes because I find that the waist of the shorts are too large but the straps are fine. If you're not into the full denim overalls, you can also go for some overall dresses which are also the cutest things ever.

Overalls: Guess (Bought at The Bay)
Shirt: Brandy Melville
Shoes: white sneakers from Urban Outfitters
