Drugstore Makeup Haul

I wanted to do a quick little haul of all the things I picked up from Wal-Mart (as well as 1 item from Sephora, which didn't really fit into any other category so I'm sticking it in here.)

You makeup gurus are going to hate me, but I used to use my fingers to apply all my makeup.....and then I had the age rewind foundation which came with the sponge applicator, but that's probably the most unsanitary thing you could ever use. So I bought this Real techniques brush set and the difference in my foundation application is good. Like what was I doing with my life before I purchased this? I mostly use the buffing brush for my foundation instead of the actual foundation brush. This is a good kit for all your beginner makeup people like me.
I had to get a new foundation because the Revlon age rewind one was getting gross. I like this foundation, I think it's a really nice light coverage one and I like that it's for sensitive skin because my face tends to break out easily. After using this one I have noticed that my skin is getting better and less breakouts are happening. The only thing that I don't really like about this is the bottle. I have an extremely difficult time trying to get the product out, and I've resorted to sticking my finger in it and scooping some foundation out. Hopefully when there's a little less product, I'll be able to pour the foundation out.

I love this. I'm not sure if the colour suits me, but the formulation is amazing. The way this applies to your lips is opaque, but it's not messy. It does transfer onto drinks and things like that, but it's not as bad as my Kat Von D liquid lipstick in Vampira. This is also matte which is why I had to get it, and I want to try out the other colours. I picked this up from Wal-Mart for $9.

When I applied this it was almost white but once I blended this out it gave me good coverage and blended into my skin. I always feel weird about the packaging liquid concealer comes in, because it's the sponge applicator which I don't like, but also half way down, the sponge isn't going to pick up any more product. I do prefer the liquid over the solid though just because it blends better and it's easier to work with. I wouldn't say this is the best concealer out there, but it's pretty solid.

This is the Rimmel London moisture renew lipstick in coral garden.
This is pretty opaque for a moisture based lipstick and it feels really nice on the lips too; it glides right on.
It's a bit bright so I would consider this a spring/summer shade. I also like to use this as a blush as well because it's creamy and gives a natural looking blush shade.

I have wanted the Bobbi Brown "Beach" perfume for the longest time, but every time I go into Sephora there's never any for me to test smell it, but I know it's supposed to be a light kind of citrus-y scent, so I was looking for a light citrus based rollerball/full bottle depending on the price. I originally wanted the Tokyo Milk "Everything and Nothing No.10" which I liked the scent, but it was also had more hints of cologne so I wasn't sure if I was going to like the scent enough to finish a bottle.
And when I did research, I knew the Fresh "Hesperides Grapefruit" was going to be one of the choices. I like how this one smells (I didn't get the full bottle mainly because it was $56), it's very clean and light. It's not too over powering and there is a bit of sweetness in it. The scent on the Sephora website is described as "begins with citrus notes like Italian lemon, orange, grapefruit, and bergamot blended with hints of jasmine, peach, and musk to add depth and sophistication."
However, because this scent is very light, it doesn't linger for that long. The scent stays on for about 30 minutes.
