I finally gave into the hype, and bought the Maybelline age rewind eraser. When I tried this product brand new, it was amazing. It didn't feel cakey, and it was easy to apply. But as time passes, the sponge applicator gets kind of messy and sometimes it feels a little oily on my skin. I would probably re-purchase this if I was looking into a drugstore foundation though.
This mascara formulation is wet so it kind of smudges on my eyelid, but it does make my lashes look more full. Because this mascara is so wet, I like to put my Smashbox Full Exposure mascara on top (which is a lengthening mascara, so the formulation is more dry) and that just helps makes my lashes stayed curled. This isn't the best mascara I have ever used. In fact, none of the mascaras I've used really screamed best mascara ever.
I was so excited to try gel eyeliner, because the winged eyeliner in people's makeup tutorials look so on fleek, but I just can't work with gel eyeliner. I find it too messy, and just the brush that comes with this is not working for me. I can't get a sharp enough wing. It is super black, but it just transfers down to my cheekbones. The colour payoff is super nice, but I'm just going to stick with my liquid eyeliners.
I don't even use eye shadow but I was like the colours in these are super pretty.
My two most favourite colours in this palette is the rose gold colour (marked with pink heart) and the shimmery pink colour (marked with red heart)
Some people said they didn't like the palette as much because there was only 1 matte colour (Marked with the white arrow), but because I don't know anything about eye shadows, I don't have brushes. So applying shimmery eye shadows is easier with your fingers. So I'm pretty happy about this palette. I just wish there was a darker brown, because the darkest colour (marked with yellow star) is actually not that dark, it's kind of like a chestnut brown. I'm just super excited to create more everyday looks with this. I recommend this palette if you're new to the eye shadow world.
The next product I have is the Elf "Golden Bronzer" palette. I am also new to the bronzing world, so I think this basic 4 colour palette is a great beginner's palette. It is shimmery, which I personally don't mind. The colours are a good fit for my skin tone. I mostly use the light brown, the nude-white and the dark brown. I don't really have a use for the light pink colour in the top right corner because I do use the colours separately, and not swish all the colours on my brush. Also, for $4, this quality is pretty good.
I also picked up some makeup remover wipes because I was running out, but when I used these hey burned my eyes and I almost cried. I don't think I touched my eyeball with the wipe, but for some reason I couldn't open my eyes and I could feel tears. So, I'm not going to continue using these to remove eye makeup, but this was $4, so that's probably why.
